Mitch

This is a picture I drew of Mitch for his high school graduation. The baby horse is Peppy, who is now a three year old.

Mitch started working for me when he was fourteen, he's cleaned stalls, cut down trees, cleaned up branches, hauled and unloaded semis full of hay. He learned to ride on my horses, and really likes the horses. He's learned how to handle foals, how to hold them, and how to start teaching them to halter and lead. He also went on to work for my horse vet as a vet tech.

Mitch is attending college now. And he has a very mysterious medical condition. The three middle toes on both feet are swollen and purple, and very painful. If he were diabetic, then this would be a circulation problem. But he isn't, and the doctors cannot find a circulation problem. In fact, they can't find any reason for the problem.

Whenever he goes to a doctor and they start prodding and poking, or running tests on Mitch's feet, he ends up in excruciating pain. The chiropractor did do acupuncture on the legs, and it seemed to help a little bit.

Several years ago, Mitch did have a medical condition called Rabdo......., which is like a horse tying up. And he's always had problems with his legs and knees, they are always painful, and it was considered growing pains while he was growing. But he's not growing anymore.

Mitch's mom, Susie, has been spreading pictures and test results everywhere she can think of, hoping that someone, somewhere, will have a idea what's going on. If you have any ideas, let us know.
